So if owners had to pay a higher wage, they wouldn't choose to just make less money. They would raise the menu prices, cut portions, or decrease quality (or any combo of the three). They will make the same amount of profit no matter what you throw at them and the customers will be the ones paying for it. Again, it's a very simple business concept.
