WWII: despite having been in a costant state of warfare during the interwar period (Albania, Ethiopia, armed insurgencies in Italian Africa funded by France, England and even their future ally Nazi Germany), a civil war (Biennio Rosso), having nowhere near the levels of industrial developement of the other superpowers, having a crippling lack of resources, being literally embargoed by Britain for years because the tea guzzlers didn't want trade competitors and so devised a plan to cage Italy in the mediterranean sea, and being opposed at every turn by the kike controlled international community, Italy honors the alliance with Nazi Germany, gets used as cannon fodder most of the time by them and that asshat Franco but covers their asses countless times, manages to hold the line and even score astounding victories against opponents which absolutely dwarfed them in manpower, resources and equipment, all the while being sabotaged by the communists, the mafia and the Vatican, and despite their own king being comped by the Allies which proceeded to occupy half the country without firing a shot, they still fight until the bitter end.
You ask me, we have nothing to be embarassed. It's the rest of the world which should be ashamed to what they did to my country, all because they feared we could gain a seat at their table one day. We went above and beyond our duties and got nothing but betrayal in return. And you fucking golems still parrot (((Allied))) propaganda to this day, still go "lol, italians can't fight", "lol, italians are backstabbers". But i accept that. I ain't even mad.
