ECMO is not "breathing" help, it's literally oxygenating blood through an external membrane.

Also this virus can make you a citoquine cascade in less than 2 hours, we are using ACE II blockers in our Emergency service (literally anti hypertensives like Valsartan) and cortisol to counter this problem.
