In what way important? Natsume Soseki's Kokoro was important to me because it made me self-reflect more than other books did, so to me it's special in that regard.

I am always very wary when it comes to occultistic ooga booga mumbo jumbo or anything that sounds like it. Could you please explain in simple terms what his writings are generally about so as to decide whether they are worth my time?

I don't think the Touhou lore goes into detail about anything of the sort. And if doujins are something to go by, she either reads useless ooga booga occult mumbo jumbo or books that are booby trapped with spells that lead her to being raped by koakuma or some monster she summoned by accident. The kinds of books I would NEVER read.

All of it. How would you even theoretically try to get into Neoplatonism without reading Plotinus? Basic understanding of Indian philosophy would also help desu
