Their voting habits weaken a society by bring in too much of the cooperation paradigm, and leave the society in question at the mercy of those still in the competition paradigm, usually external forces.
Fundamentally their humanitarianism will remove the competition that mother nature needs to achieve balance and evolution. At it's heart it is woefully human-centric and anti-nature.
