1). She does this as a kind of flirt thing to feel good about herself and then rejects guys as soon as they show they're keen.
2) She's in a relationship and looking for validation online so bails as soon as someone starts moving things on.
3) She got scared because things moved fast.
4) She was pissed off with the delays. I know she was posting emoticons etc., but generally lags and time delays send a message that you're a little indifferent (I know you didn't think this but just to say).
5) She's chaste like you say, but my sense is she wouldn't be on that site if she was.
Just don't feel hurt about any of this. If you're interested in her, there's nothing wrong with practicing skills by sending her some flowers and a note explaining that you just wanted to talk to her further late into the night and that's what you meant and you'd like to take her to dinner.
Seriously. Don't panic. And PLEASE do not listen to the fucking spergy edgelords who haven't a clue how to talk to women at all and will spew endless toxicity at you about them. You're a great looking guy and you're clearly very appealing so you didn't fuck this. Neither did I. Nobody did. There's something else going on here.
