>Attending large, well respected university, ranked in the top 35 colleges in the US
>Classes are very large - typically 600-1000 students in a class. Smallest class I've ever had was ~80
>No body knows each other, no one talks. Just go in, sit down, take notes, leave. Interaction online consists entirely of mandated discussion board posts and replies, very formulaic and impersonal.
I genuinely hate this. I'm no social butterfly at ALL, but I thought I would meet a few people, make a friend or two, and perhaps do some dating. These seem to me like normal, unremarkable expectations. I have been told that I should join student clubs, but I unironically do not have time to do that. The coursework across all classes consists of Proctoru exams with voluminous busy work in between, with something due every single day (including Sundays).

I'm trying to figure out how much of this shit is:
>specific to this particular school
>specific to large schools
>just the nature of college in the modern world
