>>1847517She just walks away and stands in a far corner of the room, giving me to understand she doesn’t want to talk anymore.
How infuriating! And how wrong she was! Joy didn’t steal any Pokémon, she just borrowed them. She didn’t ask from me any sexual favors in exchange, either! Who would even come up with something like that?? Oh, right. Helga. Well, joke’s on her, because now I know she’s projecting! Found you out, Helga, you’re a lesbian! Not that there’s anything wrong with that…
I walk back to Aria and Joy, who are discussing the current situation. Aria is calling Joy a coward for not trying to help her, while Joy is ignoring her and probably thinking about something else. Does that count as a discussion, come to think of it? Let’s say it does.
“Aria, what happened back then?” I ask her.
She told me all about it. Not that it wasn’t obvious to begin with, but she gave me the details. As soon as my battle started, she convinced the girls to go to the watching window and told them all that Nurse Joy had lent me some Pokémon. Joy didn’t deny it, but nobody got mad at her; she’s untouchable, apparently. Instead, Helga focused the anger of the girls in me, bad-mouthing me and talking lies about how I got to the Gentleman’s club or my battle strategies.
The odd thing about that is that Helga didn’t wait until the fight was over to say as she pleased. So, even if I had gone easy on Mackenzie and lose on purpose, the result would’ve been the same, except I wouldn’t be wearing anything and I’d be sitting in a room full of people in the buck. Basically, my stubbornness saved me.
