>>1607263I forgot about Devil Survivor Overclocked. They're probably my least favorite series of spin-offs in the MegaTen franchise, but they're still good games. They're tactical RPGs like Fire Emblem and Final Fantasy Tactics.
As for my favorite demon? Hard to say. Probably Matador or Parvati, but one thing the MegaTen series makes perfectly clear is that the demons are not Pokemon- they are meant to be bribed, intimidated, and tricked into working for you, then thrown away the minute that they become obsolete, which is never very long. Having them follow you around like pets in the Raidou Kuzunoha games softened me up to Fenrir, though.
>>1607285Soul Hackers is different from Devil Survivor. It's a straight-up first-person dungeon crawler like the oldschool SMT games. It's actually from the same spin-off series as the Raidou Kuzunoha games, Soul Hackers being Devil Summoner 2, Raidou Kuzunoha vs. The Soulless Army being Devil Summoner 3, and Raidou Kuzunoha vs. King Abaddon being Devil Summoner 4, despite calling itself Devil Summoner 2 on the box. It's quite confusing.
