Due to the geopolitics of the post 2nd Impact world and the meddling of old men, Japan has lost access to all of it's imports of cheep clothing and doesn’t have the means or resources to produce enough for it's entire population anymore. But don't worry, this isn't the first shortage that has occurred and far from one that should cause any alarm. In fact shortages are quite common, though getting less so as the world continues to rebuild. Anyone old enough to have lived though the bad times remembers much worse shortages, and with Japans eternal summer, most never had to worry about scrapping together enough clothing to survive a winter. The situation should be resolved in less then a year after the UN sorts the various squabbling nations out.
However, in the fortress city of Tokyo-3, for one particular school, a series of events will come together to give the class of 2-A a very memorable year.
And it's all Hikari's fault.
(Hikari accidentally gets everyone at school to donate all of their underwear away right as they receive new smaller uniforms and the cities clothing stores all get emptied of stock.)
Something I'm messing around with. Have another story called "Magical Girls Don't Wear Panties" sitting around unfinished. Any story ideas you guys have sitting around in your head?
