The rain had gradually come to a halt, though she was still intent on drying herself off as best as could be done with her arms alone. By the time she managed to dial back her drenched state, she just gave her alarmingly calm friend a stare from across the narrow path between them. "...so what are we supposed to do now?" She assumed her friend has to have -some- sort of bright idea up her sleeve... so to speak.
"Mm..." She seemed to consider her answer for a few moments before giving an innocent shrug of her bare shoulders. "Guess we're going for a walk!" She then pushed off from the wall and approached her friend, who recoiled protectively on instinct, only to find her hand taken in her friend's, who walked with her further down that path towards an adjacent road, putting all the more distance between them and her home.
"Don't be so shy, no one's gonna stare... much." She frowned, noticing her friend's frantic attempts to stay out of sight in the alley while her taken lead stopped a footstep shy of the very public sidewalk. "If we hurry, I'm sure we'll get there before it's even dark!"
The sky was definitely growing dimmer, but it wasn't quite nighttime yet.
There was no way she was enduring the embarrassment of wandering the streets nude, not then or ever again. She sharply pulled her hand free, and with a small whisper of 'I'm sorry', shoved at her friend's vulnerable shoulder, causing the other girl to tumble backward out of the alley and land on her exposed rear upon that frequented sidewalk, causing an array of gasps and even a catcall or two.
Before she turned and ran back to her home, she felt a twinge of regret at her friend's bashfully pained look... but it was only momentary. She was willing to bet her friend would be able to fend for herself, for once.
