>>2354565The unusually fast (for a 3D fighter) unarmed combat pretty much means every character has to be absurdly athletic, and more so for the heroines. Even Ayane, who was the shortest girl for a decade+, still had abnormally long legs. A particularly short character wouldn't work, especially as they've moved towards more detailed/realistic body shapes.
