I'd even throw in a hoop or two to jump through to ensure that at least a tiny bit of reading was done. Something like quote the previous thread, or write down your "ticket number." The second option would actually be a good way to limit the total number of requests, and the first way would be a good way to give your old followers a leg-up on the new ones.
