Ami was an excellent swimmer, that much was true, but... there was a limit to her skills, and trying to swim out into the open sea that far out was pushing her luck beyond belief. Assuming if she didn't get exhausted, caught up in a rip current, or worse, encounter some form of unwanted aquatic predator... how would she even get their attention from along side it, much less back on board? She also hadn't the slightest idea as to how she would get their attention without... well, anything. There was no flint, no matches, not even a flag to wave them down with.
Ami needed options fast... and so, she began to search the beach. Try as she might, well, there wasn't a scrap of her clothing. Her best theory was that the impact with which she'd hit the water simply... swept them away, accompanied by whatever turbulent motions had dispatched her onto the beach. She supposed it was a small blessing that she was on land and not somewhere out in the middle of the ocean... who knew what she'd do then? She didn't have much to be thankful for, but it could have been worse. As for her surroundings... she saw a palm tree nearby, with a few coconuts hanging from it, and an array of leafy branches. That could do for cover, or maybe even trying to make some sort of message... as silly as it sounded, she wasn't sure how else to ask for help.
Then there was the expansive beach behind her. Ami saw a vast forested region not far in the distance, but she had no idea what was beyond... or even what was in it. Also, venturing into that would take her further and further away from the boat, and any hope of waving them down before they left. Or... she could keep going down the beach. It seemed to go miles in either direction. Maybe she'd eventually find some form of civilization... or even some form of cover...!
