This was beyond being an inexpert witch. Medea was dangerous. I had said it before and I would say it again; compared to if one single person got hurt because of that explosion she made, the life or her stupid cat was worth nothing. Now that I had my memories back, I was going to have a serious talk with her.
I took the Cabin 2 with Jodi and Peggy. The priority was helping anyone who needed helping. Their cabin looked like it was about to collapse. The door had been broken out of its hinges and we could make it inside no problem.
“Is… it is the dust or something?” I wondered. “Does anyone else itch like… aggh!” I scratched, “like their skin is on fire??”
“No, that’s the potion you took,” Jodi said to me, making me even angrier.
“Later. We’ll talk about it later. Look! That’s Paulina!” Peggy was right.
Paulina was on her bed, not quite passed out but only mumbling and lightly moving. Jodi was the first responder and managed to walk her out. There was someone under Paulina’s bed, crying.
“Laurie! It’s okay, come on out!” I said as sweetly as I could, recognizing the voice. “Come on, dear! We have to leave!”
She didn’t come out so I got my hands under the bed. Laurie clung to them so hard it hurt. I got her from under there and carried her grabbing her butt. She was heavy! At least the pain on my back and arms diminished the itch.
“I’ll check the bathroom!” Peggy offered.
“And check under all of the beds!” I suggested. Jodi had come back after helping Paulina.
People had already gathered in front of the cabin, I saw them when I was coming out. They weren’t going in to help, though. No, sir; that would be a little too humanitarian! Grr, I was pissed! I gave Laurie to Valentine and Janelle who were around; if nothing else they were both sweethearts and would help Laurie that way.
