I came up with the idea and the basic outline for Crimson Glory at about the same time as you started writing, and spent five months to write just that first part. And it took me almost exactly four years to finish Christmas Gift.
Speaking of which, I discovered the other day that the pastebin automatic censorship appears to have decided it's too adult and set the paste to private, and I can't change it back. I've been meaning to eventually get back to cleaning up the evidence of the choicepoints and rewriting some of the most awkward plot points, so I'll probably just start putting it on deviantart as I go.
