This may sound pompous, but I don't like the random-all approach. There's too much oversight. Last time I did it I missed the fact that my girl had Mugi's ridiculous eyebrows.
It works a little better if go through each tab and individually filter what Random is allowed to mess with. But I still prefer the top-down approach when it comes to character creation.
On a com-plete-ly different note. What does /e/ want more?
More Super Girls, more cosplay girls, something new I'm going to call Ghost Story, or more random one-shots?
