I much prefer cable/dsl to dial up.
I love having large hard drives, and being able to buy portable terabyte drives for under a hundred bucks.
I am overjoyed in having a computer that can run multiple windows of several different browsers at once, and even run video at 1900 res, as opposed to waiting a half an hour for a 3 min 200x300 video to DL from the local bbs.
Or worse, having to make a VHS copy from another VHS copy that was itself copied from a copy, of some anime show that is in the raw. That MAYBE we might have a script or synopsis that we downloaded or had to mail for from an out of town or even out of country anime group.
No, people who talk to me about the 'good ol days' of early computing are like people who go on about how wonderful vanilla wow was.
