Some figure collectors buy multiple copies of figures because they will carefully cut and grind off the clothing and then reshape the surface smoothness to look unclothed. If you mix your media it is easily possible. There are plenty of water-based acrylic paints that remain flexible enough for use on figures and you can always use additives too. Acrylic is used to rebuild surface thickness or to add physical details such as nipples. Washes are then used followed by a final airbrush for a matte finish.
