1a) Open the image and copy the URL for it, then, paste that URL in the search query on
iqdb.org OR:
1b) Go to 4chan options and enable "Image Search," and click the

2) Find the image from among the pictures iqdb.org finds for you.
3) When you trace an image back to a booru, you can find information on it in the tags. When it comes to the source, you'll want the Character, Original show/manga/vn, and Artist tags; all of which are usually color coded on most image hosting sites.
4) Click the tag, you just found your source.
