A teenage orphan works cooking and clean at the capital's largest and most well-known brothel; catering to the region's most wealthy lords and ladies. Upon her sixteenth birthday, as per her contract with the brothel, she is to begin her training as a whore with the head mistress. What happens next is a series of "training" encounters that have nothing to do with her training. In anger she leaves one night and strikes out on her own...
That night proves to be the turning point for her, as she works a corner with little to no success until a well-to-do and handsome man approaches her and wishes to partake of her services. He leads the teen to the upper part of town and to his mansion. He offers to her a seat and to get her a drink and leaves her alone in a large room. As the teen sits waiting a man hiding in the room attacks her without warning. Being a tomboy who taught herself how to defend herself in a fight (drunks happen in brothels) she grabs a poker from the fireplace nearby and defends herself as best as she can.
After a few moments of action the man suddenly pauses and the well-to-do man walks into the room applauding the scene. He says the teen did extremely well and compliments her on quick thinking and lack of hesitation to defend herself. The well-to-do man tells the teen that he brought her to a safe home for an organization of "black widow assassins"
