>>1582235It took a moment's delay for her to get her thoughts together. After that, she was fairly quick to act... but not without taking that towel with her. The length of cloth which had formerly been left against the sand was bound around her as securely as could be before she even considered getting up.
Once that was taken care of, she felt a bit more secure in getting to her feet. A glance at her surroundings confirmed that there was still no sight of her wayward friend.
Where would a girl holding a stolen top run off to, anyway?... it was far from her concern, really. She slowly began weaving through the crowd and moving away from the beach back towards the building which housed separate halves of a changing area.
She allowed herself a small intake of air. So far, so good; no one must have thought ill of a toweled girl with bare shoulders, likely just explained away as a strapless top. She passed the showers to head for the waiting open-passage to the changing area, when...
A different yet familiar voice's call froze her in her tracks.
"You can't leave yet, we haven't even gone for a swim!" It was clearly the latter of her two other friends from before. As she reluctantly turned to face the girl, she saw the swimwear-clad female was frowning quite unpleasantly. "Geez, I heard you hated the beach, but to run off like that... at least try it! And what's up with the towel!? Sheesh." Without waiting for an answer, the girl took her by one hand... and pulled the towel straight off with another. Fortunately, or unfortunately depending... what she saw prevented her from pulling her to the beach for a second attempt at a swim.
