Clothes and hairstyle can created by magic plus the right material. They can also be changed & stored in special gems.
Such clothes are typically the representation of one's soul and possess linked special abilities.
All spells are typically invented by people wearing their "true cloth", spells are then recopied through imitation, scrolls or clothing with less and less accuracy.
For example a mage once discovered in his madness a spell that instantly reveal the "true clothe" of a person ...as seen in their future.
The spell was named after him, even if over 200 heroes were needed to take-down the (well-meaning) mad mage as he tried to rewrite the script.
His spell was easy and while it did little to improve fashion, it saved so much time.
>STORY
So happened to a young girl, humble daughter of a smith when a wandering mage showed her "true clothes".
Thing is,
One does not casually ignore a vision of themselves, still young, wielding Archimage-level magic such as flight, 360° shield while chanting "Abracadabra" (meaning she do it for fun).
The girl was embarrassed to be seen half-naked.
The mage kneed an begged to become her tutor.
Her parents agreed to kick her out and send her on a quest to achieve her true destiny.
But it isn't so easy.
- She is illiterate.
- All magic-scroll feel utterly wrong to her.
- her clothes are usually her only way of wielding any magic or abilities.
- She's shy but keep generating clothes more indecent and skimpier than the last one.
- Which is why she typically go back to her old, non-magical clothing.
On top of that, what to think about those people she meet who inexplicably bear as emblem a symbol so similar to her clothes main motif?
(the spell actually reveal someone at their peak, and the emblem is because they all swear allegiance to her in the future)
