Well, I feel like it gives the thread a bit more personality when there's some text involved.
Those here for the art can choose to ignore it, those bored enough to listen to my ramblings have something to read and those that are here to stay get an insight into why there might not be much of one kind of content.
Like official art.
And if they disagree, I'd be happy to accept a petition to post the scans that i have lying about. Though admittedly sometimes it gets hard for me to remember what was official and what is just really good but then again we have never been big on details around here.
