With her nine 16"/50 caliber Mark 7 main guns on deck, her 32.97 m wide beam and her 280-500mm thick strong armor she was classified as a US Battleship, not an aircraft carrier. While it is nice to see Iowa without her turrets and a clean, shiny deck she was only able to hold one floatplane or helicopter on board.
Pic related is the deck of the Saratoga from the Lexington class which is much better suited for the role of an aircraft carrier. She is able to hold about 78 aircrafts, was quite fast during her time and she has a sisterly attitude, which led to some calling her "sister Sara." So make sure to call her "onee-chan" when you ever land your plane on her.
