https://huggingface.co/datasets/Nerfgun3/bad_prompt helps hugely with hands and is a must-have. If you use it, I've futzed a bit with prompts and found that it works well with some basic baselines. Over time there's a lot of cruft that works its way into what we consider baisc negative prompts but bad_prompt has a bunch built in, so I deduplicated it and added a few more:
Positive: {{{best quality}}}, {{{commission}}},{{{masterpiece}}},detailed and intricate environment, {{{nsfw}}}
Negative: cropped,simple background,missing hand,amputee,extra hands,cripple,mutated limbs,loli,lolicon,menu,ui,ux,user interface,mismatched eyes,angry,malformed breasts,(bad_prompt:0.8)
Not sure if there's a way to build an embedding with bad_prompt that combines those extras (or if you want to risk law enforcement in Australia, remove the loli and lolicon prompts) but that's what's worked for me so far. Save it as a style and you've got a nice quickstart.
