Mauser C-96 "Broomhandle", fed by a ten-round internal magazine fed by a stripper clip. It was originally chambered in 7.63x25mm but also made in 9mm (destinguished with a red "9" etched into the grip to keep soldiers from trying to use the wrong ammo) and .45 ACP. Automatic versions were also created, as well as versions with detachable magazines and shorter barrels. The design was widely copied and mass-produced in Spain and China.
