I was finally on the roof! I leapt out the door and I was on top of the building. All around me I could see clear skies, the setting sun, and thankfully no one around!
I could see the other school, trees, and some parts of town. I approached one of the fences surround the roof, and I looked around. I’d done it. I’d made it to the other roof.
It felt like I was on a big stage. A huge open area that anyone could see. Yet if I avoided the side, and no one got on the other roof, I’d be safe. Yet that really didn’t slow the excitement for me at all.
