It should be defenseless while using Hermes’s Step, but an issue is finding a place not just to hide her clothes but also a location not barred by doors (if she can’t move her clothes while using Hermes’s Step, it stands that she can’t open doors). As such I propose she quickly finds someplace outside that is obscured, like bushed next to a wall, where she could strip and stash her clothes.
