Dunno why we got Red and Blue for colors, but in Japan they got Red, Green, Blue, and Yellow. Our Red and Blue was based on Japan's Pokemon Blue. The original Red and Green had different Pokemon sprites, and had even MORE bugs (Generation 1 has a LOT of bugs and glitches).
