From experience (as a nigger who's gotten paid, mostly for training LoRA's since it's an under-served niche) I almost never do sets >5-6 unless I'm getting really good shit from a prompt and I actually can't decide between images.
Single images are boring to viewers, so putting your best image at the start and then saying "there's more you might like too" might be helpful for getting more clicks. Hitting Favorite (a default "like" button for a lot of people) also opens up the whole set so the last image should also be good if you're posting more than one.
All of that said, I started by using pixiv more for myself and when the paysite I use asked me to remove my link from Pixiv due to loli, nothing changed except a drop in supporters.
I hide all AI gens on Pixiv because it's mostly soulless/gross.
