Well, shit. Father's day gonna ruin my schedule. Gonna be late. Again.
Next week's part should be up sometime Tuesday. Hopefully after that we're back to Mondays.
>>2575958I had a very similar idea a few years back that sadly didn't ever make it to fruition although the story was fleshed out. It was inspired in game called "The Imperial Gatekeeper" which I would simplify by calling "The H-version of Papers Please". Very recommended h-game.
The Party of the protagonist would arrive to a city and be invited into the Castle. Impressed that simple Adventurers could be invited into Royal accommodations, they are given the choice to accept after heavily implying what awaits them. Whether the Party suffers first hand through the humiliation or learn it someplace else, they find out a Princess is forcing her all-powerful father to run ridiculously strict security checkpoints with guards that find absolutely any excuse to strip female visitors due to a female assassin on the loose; from maids in charge of keeping the castle clean to ambassadors and messengers just trying to do their job; everyone suffers with it. Adventurers given Quests are also notable victims since they are almost always armed.
In the end the readers are given the choice to either bear with the paranoia, accept the repeated humiliation and move on, capture and severely punish the assassin that has the princess fearing for her life (with surprise ending), give the princess her just desserts making her pay what she made so many go through, or even feed the princess' delusions for shits and giggles.
Not for the current story, however. That was Demon Queen, a lifetime ago.
