>>2855797Refiner has its uses. The original idea was splitting up the generation process between a standard base model and another model specifically tweaked for late-stage refinement. You can use it with two different base models, but there's not much point, especially if you've got something in your prompt that your base model understands but your refiner doesn't. For a rather silly extreme example, using Pony as a base to generate a sex scene and then switching to some other photorealistic model as a refiner to try and get a realistic sex scene will result in hilariously misunderstood dicks.
