Kinda iffy on this update. Not so much because I took it this direction, but because I took it this direction without giving the community a choice on the matter.
I've thrown out shorter-than-usual updates in the past just to give prompts before, and I'd be lying if I said it didn't break my flow for doing when I was planning ahead thinking something would happen, but prompts made it so it never did. My story with Hikari was a big example of this.
Not that I'm saying prompts are bad, or that I don't like them. It's just that I tend to go hog wild with thinking up ideas when I'm at the grindstone (doing the same thing over and over and over again gives you a lot of time to think) to the point that my mind is going 90 mph with the story and if I put in a prompt somewhere that takes it somewhere different I'll probably crash and burn.
Point is, I could have probably stopped the update in the first post and made a prompt that suggested she either call out, or try to figure a way out, but I didn't.
Of course, I'm also really tired and I'm not sure if this post is even coherent. So if this tired rant makes sense to you, good on ya.
