Look all I'm saying is, given the same settings inpainting does the exact same thing as Adetailer on a technical level. The only difference is whether you set the work area manually or whether it's automatically detected. It's the same code path even, on both UIs. If you are seeing different behavior I can only make wild guesses as to why, but it's not normal. When I run a comparison I cannot tell which is which, other than by her hair changing a bit cause my hand-drawn mask was roughly drawn.
