I remember plenty of irate fans in the past. The more public you are, the more of the greedy people you will find. You cannot satisfy everyone, especially those people that are hard-nosed about their greed. You know, those people who cut you off, take cuts in the line in front of you, or who pad a bill with higher than expected fees all in the name of "looking out for number one".

STORY Short version: People Suck. Long version: several days ago, I was dropping off some books at the public library. I took my favourite blue crystal water bottle in with me since I was going to browse the latest Cook's Illustrated and Nuts and Volts magazines. I set the water bottle on the table and started to read. Some anonymous girl is sitting across from me (the only person near me), I turn around to my jacket behind me to rummage for a Life Saver candy in one of the pockets. When I turn back, the water bottle is gone along with the girl. Pretty bold. If I caught her, she prolly would have either said she was just looking at it, or hollered STOP STALKING ME, but certainly not admit any guilt. Yes, she got away with it since I didn't see her anywhere. Why is it wrong to feel anger like I wish it were legal for me to take an awl and scratch "THEIF" onto her forehead? I had that blue crystal bottle with me for quite a few years (and it fit nicely in the car's bottle holder). The holder has rubber at the bottom and some rubber bumpers on the side to prevent any rattling, so it was an especially pleasing combination fit.
