Are you using that english pmx editor in the trollvids resources? If you are, then THAT is the problem your having with joints. It is indeed true that there is an issue with that version of the editor. Box selecting, or any kind of selecting within the view window, DOES NOT WORK in that particular one with the joints button enabled. Why? I don't know. Obviously the translator fucked something up. However, it works just fine in any other version.
