>>2658802I'm in the same ballpark as you. Blender's UI is more intuitive and you aren't having to fuss with parameters in python if you don't know how to. Lighting can be as simple as loading a lamp object and just assigning lighting to it via parenting while Blender does all the calculating for shadows and highlights.
Lighting and material modification is my weak point in mmd. I just can't seem to retain the steps while Blender, I've retained the majority of it and am able to modify things in real-time without opening any additional programs.
