I'm personally not too fond of the middle hair, simply because it doesn't seem to suit her. I just can't really picture her hair as being messy. She always seems one to be more to try to put more care into her appearance to keep it uniform and organized, always making sure her socks always matched, her jacket having no loose threads, that kinda thing, so having more messy hair doesn’t seem to suit her as well as others. Least that's the impression I got.
Also, part of her appeal is in how she dresses a bit more conservatively compared to the others. Least it is for me. Then again, in this situation option 3 seems just as fitting, if not more...
End result, either of the two works for me!
