Aria, Medea and the rest have their own little adventures although by this Magical Girl Era they should be in their early thirties (physiologically Aria shouldn't have even gotten back the years she lost at camp, Medea would be physically around 16-17 and finally gotten rid of her complex) and probably have very little in their plate so it's not unthinkable they'd go about on their witch business clashing with Magical Girls every now and then and being mistaken as such.
Not against them branching out on the story since they share a universe. Hell; Aria could mess up a ritual and end up summoning Daisy who is multi-dimensional if you want her to, but not before the public makes a few important choices about them. Aria needs to pick one of Medea's sister (or Medea herself) who to apprentice under, Malachite Jr. needs a name, Jill and Lady have to decide what to do with their lives, they have to decide if they want to rescue Eugene (they probably shouldn't) and not all the gang can have perpetual youth; I see at least Carmen and Lisa getting married and having children; Jill is up in the air.
