You might argue this is a cherry picked example, but I think proving this influence exists in the most obvious and expected place is enough to show that other fetishes can be influenced by personality as well.
Unless you want to argue the correlation is not due to personality influencing the fetish itself, but a third underlying factor influencing both of them, in which case, tomayto tomahto to you.
