Even if the page doesn't list it needs a VAE, you'll know when you need to add/remove the VAE when the image looks like it has a grey filter over it or when it looked "cooked". Meaning it looks very dark and oversaturated in some areas of the image. The only VAE I use are SDXL and AAA Anime SDXL. Now that Illustrious and Noob models are so good you barely ever need a VAE.

>>2959626To not waste a lot of time, it's better to gen a batch of gens without hi-res fix. Then once you find a gen that you like then you use hi-res fix. Make sure the denoising strength is low. I usually have it on .2. The higher it is the more changes hi-res fix will apply to the gen every step. For hi-res fix I prefer the upscaler 4x NMKD-saix 200k. Here's a few upscalers. Use whatever you think is good.
