>>1784252“Uh… oh yeah, the battle.” Snapping himself out of his trance and wiping his drool away, he tossed his last pokemon out. “You’ll never beat my Metapod!”
The green cocoon just kind of sat there, looking at her and Bulbasaur. If she didn’t know better, Green would’ve sworn it looked depressed. It certainly didn’t look dangerous, but she’d already learned her lessons about prematurely judging these creatures.
“Metapod! Harden!”
“Vine Whip it Bulbasaur, let’s finish this.” (Green crit fail check: 18)
Her worries all came to naught, as the pod-like pokemon just sat there as the deadly vines crashed down towards it. Making sure to keep an eye out for any more unexpected vines coming her way, Green felt a sense of triumph as the Metapod fainted under the onslaught. Victory was hers!
After collecting her winnings from the trainer, who had immediately gone back to staring at her chest after the battle was concluded, Green stalked off, feeling eyes on her swaying behind. She made sure not to turn around though, that kid trainer was still behind her and she didn’t want another battle right now. Unfortunately with trees too thick to walk through on either side and backwards to the path not an option, the tall grass was her only option. She didn’t make it ten steps before a yellow mouse jumped out at her.
A Pikachu! Possibly the most recognizable pokemon in the world, even she recognized it without her pokedex’s tinny voice echoing from her rear. This would be a fine catch, but while she reached down for the ball containing Bulbasaur the stupid thing ran off. Giving chase with a yell, Green tore off into the underbrush after it.
