>>2345680>Neither men nor women can truly understand the other, nor themselves. That's just kind of the way people dismiss it because it's easier to just not think about it rather than try to think against a lifetime of conditioning. The problem is the media and their corporate owners prefers to keep the sexes ignorant of eachother's strengths and weaknesses (because the commodification and division of the sexes keeps industries like porn, online dating, divorce lawyers, and the like incredibly lucrative). Men and women aren't hard to understand. Men are driven. They prefer to be constantly be proving themselves in any way, they want results for the effort they put in, no matter what they pursue, whether for good or bad. Women constantly ask "Why are there no female Einstiens? Why are there no female Niel Armstrongs?" The answer is easy "Because there are no female Jack the Rippers, or female Joseph Stalins." Women do not have the drive to achieve that men do. They don't have the manic energy that men channel to achieve things both wonderful and horrible. Obviously there are exceptions, but the exception is not the rule.
That doesn't mean women should be scorned for this, as they have things which men do not posses. Men do not have the need to be caretakers and nurturers, we do not have such a capacity for empathy. "Behind every great man is a great women" isn't just a hollow saying. Men cannot fulfill the emotional needs of other men as women could (barring homosexuals, THAT is a different conversation all together). We need them to function, even if we have to fill the void with 2D idealized proxies that this board is dedicated too.
