>>2790488There's a lot of inertia, but I suppose if it's promising enough, someone will figure it out. If I recall, SD 2.0 was too different from 1.5 to merge with the custom models that exist in basically every modern anime model we use today. There would be a lot of progress that would have to be redone from scratch, I imagine.
