She's also an outsider, a unique being in the galaxy, raised by an alien species, who doesn't really fit anywhere.
These two things, juxtaposed, make her both a mighty protector, as well as someone who needs to BE protected, comforted, or hell, just plain hugged sometimes. Like someone above said, she's horribly out of her element when it comes to dealing with other people, which I think a lot of people on 4chan can relate to. BUT, she's also a trained and experienced professional warrior, she's damn good at her job and respected for it. And I think those things are something that a lot of people here have dreamed about or aspired to. So, she is at once someone to look up to, as well as someone to help and teach.
