a good deal of the community (not just the ecchi/hentai side, but the more sfw side) are formed by a bunch of ego-hungry teenagers, and xenophobic asians, the latter unfornutately being the ones that make the best looking ones, but fill their download pages with hurdles like paswords and bullshit rules, which are replicated by the western side, even if their efforts aren't as good as the eastern side. said rules tend to be "not sharing" and "no r-18 shit", the western side saw this and tried to police around killing any chance of something similar happening. that or simply they wanted to feel superior and create some scarcity with the models, making their collection more rare (if you poor soul managed to enter to deviant art, you see that there was some weird shit happening like trading the models or posting them in a t-pose, just to gloat that they have them with no dl link in sight)
that was years ago and for the most part it seems that things have cooled down, thanks to the fact that the lewd side of the mmd community managed to grow enough to sustent itself, as you can see with iwara, we now have the problem with the increasing jewing of premium videos and models through patreon and similar pages though, and the worst part is that some of the premium models are just frankensteined models.
your attempts of making another database for us to download models is great, and i appreciate your idea (i'm sure other people here will do as well), after all i think it's best having more alternatives, putting all stuff in just one single place (like the booru) can lead to something catastrophic if it gets killed.
