Obviously it would be more time consuming using it for animation, but that's all.
The Anon who suggested the changes in the previous thread were all good, but there was no need to reduce the poly count everywhere at all.
What I noticed in 1.0 is that some accessories on you model are really high poly, example: buttons, scarf, headpiece (bandana), vest, skirt, belt.
These are the places where you could reduce the size of your model from 17mb and make it lighter.
However, the gloves, socks, shoes, spats and bra are "body tight", you should keep them as it is to avoid clipping due to poly count differences.
On the other hand, If someone wants to make a good animation they'll use blender and this polycount in version 1.0 is just fine.
I know this is annoying as hell, but you sould keep the body mesh in the first version as it is, and add the other changes to it that were implemented in 1.01 &1.02 version and reduce the poly count on the accessories mentioned above.
