>>2299718To all of us, poor Lady looked like nothing more than a child bragging in front of pros.
“Sounds like you think you can,” Lady dared. Jill laughed.
“I’ll take you on anytime Princess. I don’t care where or who’s watching. Out in the open, in public, or right now. You can show me what you got, then,” Jill might have been exhausted, but it was still a nefariously unequal contest if it were to take place. Lady had no idea of what she was getting into.
“Y-you think… you think I don’t have the b- the guts? I’ll do it! Don’t you f- damn… don’t you dare me ‘cuz ah will! Don’t you be telling me you’re sorry later!”
“Oooh, she speaks big,” Jill derided her, playfully biting her own pinkie. “Alright, big, bad girl. I’m all yours. Aria, go to another bed.”
“Meow!” I resented being pushed away from surfaces.

“Hey, Laurie. Hey, Paulina,” Monique greeted us. She looked as tired as I felt.
We were the last in. Hilda was on her bed, comfortably reading beneath her sheets. She was probably the only person in camp who didn’t go to the event and I was starting to think that was the right choice. Wendy was by the window, eating cookies whole to not make a mess; she offered me one and I took it.
Monique was on my bed, not that I minded. She looked absolutely beat, wouldn’t even lift her head when we came in; barely kept an eye open.
“Had fun at your little game?” Hilda asked. She already knew the answer; and besides I didn’t want to tell her about what happened and have her nosebleeds start again.
“You were right, it was awful!” I admitted, I jumped to Monique’s side who didn’t even move other than the bouncing of the bunk.
