If you lack motivation, you can try this payment model where people are helping other people, similar to donating subscriptions to other viewers on Twitch (where people do things like gift 100 subscriptions = $500):
1) Release a model or motion: first day is free. This lets people access new things even if they are poor, by substituting time for money.
2) Lock downloads. Set a donation goal and unlock date, like after six months. Unlocked if either condition is met. Donating a certain amount also grants access.
3) Permanently list all donations prior to unlocking (can be anonymous) in a prominent place like a release video (like opening credits in a movie) or a credits file, either with this model or motion or with the next one that the donations fund.
Even if the creator doesn't want the money, this imputes value by making the model or motion exclusive, like how long lines outside of nightclubs raise the club's status. Can donate to your favorite nonprofit or the dancers in the video you traced from, or use it to pay poor high school students to animate things, or even donate to the creator of MMD so he has an incentive to improve it.
